I have just finished watching Andrew Camerata"s latest video too - He was working at pretty much the same thing as you when his excavator caught fire, miles from any assistance. His fire extinguisher failed to work, so he had to watch the machine burn itself out before fire brigade arrived. I trust you have more -and better- extinguishers than he did!

That is a handy looking machine!

Rebuilt an old Chainsaw years ago and one trick I did was set the gap on the Bar where the chain engages to the bar. What I used was a couple of saw blades to the width of the sprocket teeth and gentle-tapped the bar edge until to correct width. Makes a big difference to the cut as well.😉

Interesting way to describe It as a Tack! We here in Canada refer to it as a Trail! or bush Road Just thought to mention!

I wish I had seen your videos before, there's this dumpster dive, " Mikethescavanger". He found brand new parts for an excavator in the dump and he didn't k ow what they were at first but it would've been great if you would have got them. But you've do e great repairing the excavator 👍

Have you possibly seen the bucket turned around and facing forward , backed up against the blade for support? One operator said it became the only machine he takes! Whatayathink?

Would it be beneficial to build a small dam in the creek to create a smallish basin for the generator system ?

I've never seen a pole operated winch before as in the opening loading sequence. Pretty cool but hard on one's arms I imagine! As for the white tail spider, it's not poisonous. It's venomous like all spiders, which is how they immobilize prey. Poison is ingested or absorbed, venom is injected. Not surprisingly, this spider was introduced to NZ from Australia!

Starting to look like that any small block holding person should consider buying a small digger, However you have to be able to get the digger to and from the property, can't just hop on and use it for an hour after work or be familiar with the machine and its brand features and quirks... Great place to raise a family.
